Magpapasko pa naman,\u201d aniya sa panayam sa Teleradyo Serbisyo.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNakakatakot. Baka aabot talaga ng P60 per kilo \u2018yong mga regular-milled rice given na wala namang nagagawang concrete na solusyon \u2018yong gobyerno bagkus ay mag-import,\u201d aniya.<\/p>\n<p>Sinabi ni Agriculture group Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) chairman Rosendo So na ang presyo ng bigas sa ibang bansa ay tumataas din at nakaaapekto ito sa lokal na pamilihan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaski imported mahal kasi eh. Ang Thailand, \u2018yong well-milled rice eh nasa $600 per metric tons; \u2018yong Vietnam nasa $643 per metric tons,\u201d ayon kay So.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDahil mataas ang world market ngayon, siyempre \u2018yong landed cost eh mataas so mataas din binebenta \u2018yong imported rice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sa ginanap na pagdinig sa House Committee on Agriculture and Food, inihayag ni NFA Administrator Roderico Bioco na ang initial shipments ng bigas mula sa India ay inaasahang darating sa bansa ngayong buwan ngunit aminado siyang malaking hamon pa rin ang presyo nito.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will have more supply by December. Prices are something that we hope will go down.
