PABOR si Senate President Chiz Escudero sa kahandaan ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na makipagkasundo kay Vice President Sara Duterte para sa ‘kapakanan’ ng bayan.
“In admitting that he is open to reconciling with the Vice President and the Duterte family, he (Marcos Jr.) reminds us that the welfare of the Filipino people should always take precedence over personal differences and partisan disputes,” sabi ni Escudero sa isang kalatas.
Ayon kay Escudero, hinahangaan niya ang kababaaang-loob ni Marcos Jr. na aminin ang resulta ng katatapos na halala ay nagsiwalay na pagod na ang bansa sa tunggalian at gusto ng pamahalaan na nakatuon sa pangangailangan ng mga mamamayan at hindi nalilihis ang atensyon sa drama ng politika.
“I appreciate that the President had the humility to recognize that the recent election results reveal that our countrymen are weary of conflict and want a government focused on their needs, not distracted by the drama of politics,” wika ni Escudero.
“Sang-ayon ako sa panawagan ni Pangulong Bongbong Marcos na isantabi ang pulitika at ituon ang pansin sa mga pangangailangan ng ating mga kababayan.”
Wasto aniya si Marcos Jr. na ang mga pinuno ng bansa ay hindi dapat nakatutok sa politika gayong maraming Pinoy ang nagsusumikap na iraos ang pang-araw-araw nilang kabuhayan.
“Tama po sya; our country’s leaders cannot afford to be consumed by politics when so many of our kababayan struggle simply to make ends meet,” anang Senate President.
“Malinaw po ang mensahe ni Presidente: now is the time to build bridges, not burn them. We owe it to our people to rise above division and do better—together—for the sake of our natin,” pagtatapos niya. (ROSE NOVENARIO)
