Kinompirma ni Pangulong Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. na malapit ng matapos ang trabaho ng Independent Commission for Infrastructure (ICI) dahil naimbestigahan n anito ang lahat ng kailangan siyasatin kaugnay sa maanomalyang flood control projects.
“[T]hey really are coming towards the end—Lahat ng kailangang imbestigahan, naimbestigahan na nila. Maybe there are one or two other loose ends that they have to clear up,” sabi ni Marcos Jr. sa ambush interview sa inagurasyon ng Manila Water and Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System’s Aglipay Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) sa Mandaluyong City.
“Kung matapos na trabaho nila, then we will see what they can do next,” dagdag niya.
Nag-iisa na lang ang miyembro ng ICI, ang chairperson nito na si retired Justice Andres Reyes matapos nagbitiw ang dalawang commissioner na sina Rogelio Singson at Rossana Fajardo last year.
Ayon sa Pangulo, hindi pa napagpapasyahan kung magtatalaga siya ng mga bagong commissioner.
“We haven’t really decided on that yet. Again, it all depends on the work that ICI still has in front of them. ‘Pag kailangan pa, then we will.”
Nakatutok na aniya ang imbestigasyon sa Department of Justice (DOJ) at sa Ombudsman at kung naipasa na sa kanila ang lahat ng mga kailangang impormasyon mula sa ICI.
“But if the work is done, kung naibigay na lahat ng information sa DOJ tsaka sa Ombudsman, then the focus now of the investigation will go to the DOJ and the Ombudsman,” wika ng Pangulo. (RRN)
