INENDORSO ni US President Joe Biden si Vice President Kamala Harris upang maging kapalit niya matapos niyang umatras bilang Democratic nominee sa presidential elections.
Inilarawan niya ang pagpili sa dating California attorney general na kanyang maging kanyang second-in-command bilang ‘the best decision I’ve ever made’.
Ginawa ni Biden ang anunsyo ilang minuto matapos niyang isiwalat na aatras na siya bilang presumptive nominee ng Democrat kasunod ng pressure mula sa kanyang mga kaibigan at mga kaalyado.
Kapag nagwagi si Harris, siya ang magiging kauna-unahang babae at unang Asian-American US President.
Sinabi ni Biden sa kanyang kalatas : “My fellow Democrats, I have decided not to accept the nomination and to focus all my energies on my duties as President for the remainder of my term.
My very first decision as the party nominee in 2020 was to pick Kamala Harris as my Vice President.
And it’s been the best decision I’ve made.
