ALREADY back from the 81st Venice Film Festival, hindi pa rin maka-get over si Janine Gutierrez mula sa “hangover” brought about by her experience.
Truth be told, nasa dream list pala ng aktres ang makarating sa nasabing filmfest, thanks to her Lav Diaz’s out of competition entry Phastosmia that made it possible.
Janine couldn’t help but exude Filipino pride as she walked the red carpet.
“Proud to be Filipina talaga yung pakiramdam ko dun,” sabi ni Janine. “At the red carpet, there was a flag for each nationality that was part of the Venice film festival this year. Nagpa-picture talaga ako kasi may flag tayo.”
Aniya, isang karangalan ang mapabilang sa nilakaran ng mga tintingalang Hollywood names like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: “Although I didn’t get to see them!”
Ang tangi raw niyang nakausap ay si Taylor Russel–Harry Styles’ ex–who she bumped at the hotel lobby.
Starstruck, Janine politely asked if she could have a picture taken with her: “But she said ‘no,’ pawis daw kasi siya!”
Blame it on the scorching heat that filled the air.
What caught her fancy was the water taxi ride. Nakikita’t napapanood lang daw niya ito tulad ng sa Disneyland.
Overall, Janine describes her Venice experience magical–na naranasan din pala ng kanyang Mama Guy (her granny Nora Aunor) who had already been to one of the world’s awesome and breathtaking destinations. (RONNIE CARRASCO III)
