IT’S all worth the wait!
Sulit na sulit ang ilang buwan ng masusing preparasyon bago sa wakas ay maisapubliko na ang wax figure ni Lea Salonga for Madame Tussauds.
With the recent unveiling ceremony at Solaire in Pasay City, tumambad na ang wax likeness ng only Filipino Broadway star.
To be displayed in Singapore beginning September 20, the statue was flown to Manila for everyone to see.
Hindi nga mapigilan ni Lea na mamangha sa kanyang “kambal” looking exactly like her: “I’m still in disbelief!”
The wax figure is wearing a blue gown by her long-time friend Rajo Laurel who was also present during the unveiling event.
Lea couldn’t help but reminisce her trip to Singapore with her mom Ligaya when she was 12.
Stopping for a visit at Madame Tussauds, the young singer was delighted to see the wax figure of Liza Minelli who she met in person many years later.
She remembers her mom telling her: “You’ll never know, one day you’ll also have one!”
Lea is the fourth Filipino to have a wax figure–Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach, Manny Pacquiao, Miss Universe Catriona Gray..
Sa ngayon, in the works na ang statue ni Anne Curtis na nakatakdang isapubliko sa darating na December. (RONNIE CARRASCO III)
