Magaganap sa Abril 14 ang inaasam na “bloodbath” ni Vice President Sara Duterte sa pagpapatuloy ng impeachment proceedings ng House Justice Committee.
Inihayag ito ni Bicol Saro party-list Rep. Terry Ridon sa gitna ng umugong na umano’y planong pagpapatalsik kay House Speaker Faustino “Bojie” Dy III ng mga mambabatas na malapit kay Duterte upang iupo si dating Pangulo at Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
Ani Ridon ang kumakalat na intriga ay maaaring may kaugnayan sa paparating na mahahalagang petsa ng impeachment hearings sa Abril 14, 22 at 29.
“I think that was made out of thin air, especially since the impeachment hearings are upcoming. The exciting part is approaching, my friends, as the bloodbath will happen on Tuesday, in each and every arena where the vice president could be held accountable.”
Matatandaan sinabi ni Duterte sa isang Thanksgiving mass sa Davao City noong May 2025 na, “I truly want a trial because I want a bloodbath.”
Hindi natuloy ang paglilitis dahil idineklara ng Korte Suprema noong 2025 na unconstitutional ang impeachment proceedings laban sa kanya kaya malinaw na pagkukunwari lang ang pagnanais ni Duterte sa “bloodbath.”
Kaugnay nito, sa paskil sa Facebook ay itinanggi ni Arroyo na kinausap siya ni Duterte para palitan si Dy.
“I categorically deny the allegations concerning the supposed ouster of Speaker Bojie Dy that surfaced yesterday. I reaffirm my confidence in his leadership of the House of Representatives,” sabi ni Arroyo.
“Our mutual support, which began many years ago with his late father, remains unbroken,” dagdag niya.
Para kay Ridon, solido ang suporta ng mayorya ng mga kongresista sa liderato ni Dy.
“I think a great majority of House members are solidly behind the leadership of House Speaker Bojie Dy. I think there is no reason to replace him today because we have seen how he consolidated, in his own manner, the House leadership,” sabi niya.
“There are major priority bills that have been delivered by his leadership, there is the commitment to remove excise taxes on petroleum products, it was under his leadership that this had been undertaken in record time. So I don’t think our colleagues in Congress will launch a coup against Speaker Dy anytime soon,” wika ni Ridon. # (RRN)
