IPINAKILALA ng ACT Teachers Partylist sa ginanap na national convention ngayon, 26 Setyembre 2024, ang tatlo nitong nominado para sa 2025 midterm elections.
Ang pagtitipon ay dinaluhan ng mga edukador at mga tagasuporta na may dedikasyon sa pagsusulong ng mga karapatan at kapakanan ng mga guro sa buong bansa.
First nominee ay si Antonio L. Tinio, isang beteranong advocate ng karapatan ng mga guro at dati nang kinatawan ng partylist.
“We will continue to champion a nationalistic, scientific, and mass-oriented education system that serves the interests of the nation,”sabi ni Tinio.
Second nominee naman ay si Helene Dimaukom, isang retiradong teacher mula sa Mindanao na may malawak na karanasan at malalim na pang-unawa sa mga hamon na kinakaharap ng mga guro sa kanayunan.
“I am honored to represent our teachers from Mindanao and ensure their voices are heard in the halls of Congress,” wika niya.
Habang ang third nominee ay si David Michael San Juan mula sa De La Salle University, bantog sa kanyang academic contributions at adbokasiya para sa progresibong reporma sa edukasyon.
“Our education system must nurture critical thinking and foster a sense of national pride among our students. This is a battle we are ready to fight,” giit ni San Juan.
Binigyan diin muli ng ACT Teachers Partylist ang komitment sa pagtutulak ng makabuluhang umento sa suweldo, mas maayos na kondisyon sa paggawa at mas patas na sistema ng edukasyon.
“As the election season heats up, the partylist calls on teachers and the broader public to unite for a future where quality education is accessible to all. They also commit their support to the senatorial slate of Makabayan Coalition led by Teacher France Castro,” anang partylist sa isang kalatas.
“The convention underscored the partylist’s dedication to fighting for a just and democratic society, reflecting the aspirations of teachers and the greater Filipino populace.” (ZIA LUNA)
