KUNG marami ang nairita sa monologue ni Filipino-American comedian Jo Koy sa 81st Golden Globe Awards , si Oscar winner Whoopi Goldberg ay aliw na aliw naman sa kanya.
“I love Jo Koy. He makes me crazy because he’s funny.”
Sinabi ito ni Whoopi sa isang episode ng The View, kasunod ng mga pagbatikos sa Filipino-American comedian matapos ang 81st Golden Globe sa Beverly Hills, California kamakalawa.
“These hosting gigs are brutal. If you don’t know the room, if you’ve not been in these rooms before, and you’re thrust out there, it’s hit or miss,” ani Whoopi.
‘I don’t know whether it was the room, I don’t know whether it was the jokes, I didn’t get to see it,’ Goldberg said. ‘But I do know that he is as good as it gets when it comes to stand-ups, and it is not an easy gig,” dagdag niya.
Inamin ni Whoopi na maging siya ay nakaranas din ng samu’t saring puna sa kanyang mga naging hosting jobs.
“If you read any of the reviews of some of the gigs I’ve had where they wished me into the cornfields. It’s no an easy gig,” aniya. (ZIA LUNA)
