Pinagbigyan ng impeachment court nitong Lunes ang kahilingan ng BDO Unibank at Security Bank na mabigyan ng karagdagang 10 banking days upang makumpleto ang kanilang pagsusumite ng financial records ni Vice President Sara Duterte, na nagtakda ng bagong deadline sa Agosto 13.
Noong Hulyo 30, tumalima ang BDO, Security Bank, PSBank, Metropolitan Bank and Trust Company, LandBank of the Philippines, at Bank of the Philippine Islands sa subpoena ng hukuman upang isumite ang financial records ni Duterte, ng kanyang asawa, at ng 20 kaugnay na entidad.
“BDO requested additional time to retrieve, compile, produce, and submit item no. 3 in the subpoena, namely all account transactions, ledgers, journals, etc., and transaction logs. Security Bank manifested that due to the volume, it was unable to complete the printing of documents pertaining to two of the 20 entities, namely GenCorp Industries and Calle88 Foods Corp.,” ayon kay Senate impeachment court presiding officer Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
Binasa ni Escudero ang kanyang desisyon na nagpapahintulot sa kahilingan ng dalawang bangko, at iniutos din sa kanila at sa iba pang institusyon na magsumite ng electronic copies ng mga dokumento sa pamamagitan ng flash drives. # (RRN)
