IKINATUWA ni House Deputy Minority leader at ACT Teachers party-list Rep. France Castro ang pagbibitiw ni Vice President Sara Duterte bilang Department of Education secretary at co-vice chairperson ng National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC)
“Sa wakas ay nagresign na din sa DepEd si VP Sara sana ay mas maaga niya ito ginawa para makapaglagay ng isang kalihim ng DepEd na galing talaga sa sektor ng edukasyon at alam ang kanyang ginagawa. Nasayang ang mahugit dalawang taon para ayusin agad ang education crisis sa bansa at benepisyo at sahod ng mga guro at education support personnel,” sabi ni Castro.
Umaasa si Castro na ngayong wala na si VP Sara sa NTF-ELCAC, mabubuwag na rin ang ahensya dahil ito’y nagsisilbi lamang instrumento ng estado sa paglabag ng karapatang pantao at pagpapakalat ng fake news.
“In resigning her post from the NTF-ELCAC we hope that the red-tagging agency would also be abolished. It is nothing but an apparatus of the state to violate human rights and spread fake news,” dagdag ng mambabatas.
Ang pagkalas ni VP Sara sa gabinete ni Marcos Jr. ay hudyat ng open war ng dating magkaalyado at pagtindi ng bangayan ng dalawang kampo.
“The resignation of VP Duterre from the Marcos Jr. Cabinet also marks the open war between the former allies and the upcomimg escalation of hostilities between the two camps,” giit ng Deputy Minority leader.
“We hope that Pres. Marcos Jr. will immediately accept her resignation and appoint someone who would truly serve the education sector as its secretary,” ani. Castro. (ZIA LUNA)
