IPAAARESTO ng House of Representatives Quad Committee si retiretd police Col. at dating Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) General Manager Royina Garma kapag hindi dumalo sa susunod na pagdinig ng Komite.

Nag-isyu na ang quadcomm ng subpoena para kay Garma para humarap sa pagdinig sa mga isyu ng extrajudicial killings, illegal drugs, human trafficking at iba pang mga kahalintulad na krimen, ayon kay Quad Committee Lead Chairman Robert Ace Barbers.

Ilang beses nabanggit ng resource persons ng Kamara ang pangalan ni Garma bilang opisyal dati ng Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) sa Davao.

Inginuso si Garma sa mga isinumiteng testimonya ng ilang testigo sa extrajudicial killings partikular sa pagpatay sa  tatlong drug convicts na Chinese nationals na sina Chu Kin Tung, Jackson Li and Wong nakakulong sa Davao Prison and Penal Farm noong 2016.

“These are not isolated incidents but part of a broader pattern of abuse that we believe Garma had a direct hand in. The gravity of these allegations cannot be overstated,” sabi ni Barbers.

Binigyang-diin ng komite na mahalaga ang pagdalo ni Garma sa susunod na pagdinig sa Martes, 3 Setyembre 2024.

Importante aniya ang testimonya ni Garma upang maibigay ang kanyang panig sa krimen.

Kapag hindi aniya dumalo sa pagdinig si Garma, mapipilitan ang quadcomm na maglabas ng warrant of arrest laban sa dating PCSO general manager.

“Refusing to testify would be a serious act of defiance against the rule of law and could be seen as an attempt to hide the truth. We have the authority and the resolve to compel her testimony, and we are prepared to use all legal means necessary to ensure her compliance,” ayon kay Barbers. (ZIA LUNA)
