NAGBABALA si dating Bayan Muna Congressman Ferdinand Gaite na kapag lumusot ang ambisyon ni Senator Imee Marcos na maging Senate president ay mababasura ang impeachment case laban kay Vice President Sara Duterte bunsod ng pagwaldas sa confidential funds.
Sinoman aniyang kaalyado ng mga Duterte na makakaupong presidente ng Senado ay magbbibigay proteksyon kay VP Sara mula sa anomang pananagutan, kabilang ang nakaambang conviction sa impeachment case.
“Goodbye impeachment na kapag ganito ang nangyari. Paano pa mapapanagot si Sara Dutette sa paglustay nya sa confidential funds,” sabi ni Gaite.
“Tactically, this is a power play not just for control but also for protection. If Senator Marcos or a Duterte ally becomes Senate President, we can say goodbye to the possibility of Vice President Duterte facing impeachment or any form of accountability for her actions,” paliwanag ni Gaite.
Mapanganib aniya sa mga demokratikong institusyon ng bansa ang potensyal na alyansang Imee Marcos-Duterte sa Senado.
